Designs Submission Policy
Designs are our highest submitted content and we have a strict guidelines on selecting which ones get added. This enables us to provide the best quality and creative designs to all users of DDG.
Note: For new artists, these guidelines may be a bit overwhelming but do not panic. Simply try to understand it as best as you can and we'll inform you if there are any mistakes in your submission.
Important: Designs over 350KB in size will never be accepted no matter how well designed it is.
Design Guidelines
Designs that do no meet these requirements are automatically rejected.
- Design must be completly made by you, no source code copying.
- Design files should be compressed and submitted in ZIP format. Zip file should not exceed 150 kb.
- Submit a thumbnail/preview image of the design. It must be less than 20KB; JPG or GIF format only; Must be 200x125 pixels.
- Design should not scroll horizontally at 1024x768 screen resolution and must look decent in all major browsers and on different operating systems.
- Credit must be given for everything such as images, codes, inspiration, etc. Credits to Google search are not allowed. Link to the site you got your sources from.
- No porn or other offensive materials are allowed in the design. Mild nudity that is artistically done is acceptable.
- All filenames must be lowercase. See additional notes below.
- A link back to Day Dream Graphics is a must.
Additional Notes
- Lowercase Filenames
Please use lowercase filenames as some operating systems are case sensitive when it comes to filenames. Index.HTM is not the same as index.htm & xxx.JPG is not the same as xxx.jpg. We will not change them for you, your design will be rejected. - Missing Files
Please remember to check that you included all the required files for the design into its ZIP file.
ZIP File Information
When compressing your design, please make sure that when it is unzipped the files (i.e index.html, image.jpg, etc...) are there. Make sure there isn't another folder containing the files.
Example: zipfile.zip/index.html NOT zipfile.zip/folder/index.html.
